ABOUT US
Our History & Mission
How We Started
Our Amazing Fighters was founded by LeAnna Headley in 2014, beginning as an Instagram page dedicated to sharing the stories of children battling pediatric cancer. Over the last eight years, we have grown into a 501(C)3 nonprofit with a dedication to raising awareness and providing support to both children and their families during their fight against pediatric cancer.
What We Do
Our organization works diligently to provide support to as many children & families as we can, providing care packages, personalized blankets, bald American Girl Dolls, holiday support, and more. Additionally, we are committed to helping families by providing assistance through our local Virginia support via events, coffee for parents, babysitting, purchasing meals for inpatient families, helping with unexpected nears & providing respite care.

MISSION STATEMENT
Our Amazing Fighters is committed to raising awareness, providing support, and spreading joy to kids and their families in the fight against pediatric cancer.
A Note From Our Founder,
LeAnna

In 2014, I started Our Amazing Fighters as a simple Instagram page with the intent to just raise awareness for pediatric cancer. In the following 8 years since the beginning of our page, Our Amazing Fighters has grown into what we know it as today. Our team has lobbied on Capital Hill more than 150 times, have sent countless care packages, provided numerous means of support for families local to Central Virginia through the means of respite care, and more
Through Our Amazing Fighters, I have had the opportunity to meet hundreds of pediatric cancer families from across the United States. Sadly, far too many of these kids and beloved friends of mine are no longer with us and I have vowed to finish their fight. I will carry their battles on and they will be remembered and honored through the work that we do.
When I began Our Amazing Fighters, I had no idea the reach and impact this nonprofit would one day have. I am so beyond thankful for the unique opportunity to have experienced my calling so early in life and I am immensely grateful for the support that has been shown to us by my family, friends, community, and even strangers. Without you all, we would not be able to continue the work that we do. So thank you.
& a reminder to everyone... let all that you do be done in love.
